As the Director of Community Impact and Executive Director of PGE Foundation at Portland General Electric, Kregg Arntson is a seasoned philanthropy, public affairs, and community engagement leader with more than 25 years’ experience building programs, partnerships, and community and employee engagement initiatives.

I believe parks are essential to a thriving society. No matter where you go, a park is a reflection of the shared values and unique interests of the community.

If you could be a Portland park, which one would you be and why?

Without a doubt, Hoyt Arboretum. Around every bend, and with each visit, there is a new family of trees and native plants to discover. 

What do you hope to accomplish while serving?

I hope to listen, learn and be an advocate for more greenspaces in neighborhoods that will most benefit from the recreational, health and environmental benefits parks provide.
